Yesterday, Razer, the gaming hardware manufacturer confirmed that they would be releasing their first smartphone on November 1st. Given the gaming background the phone comes from, we expect it to offer great performance even when running some graphic-intensive titles. Although it’s their first smartphone, Razer had earlier acquired Nextbit, which rose to fame for their cloud-enabled smartphone, the Nextbit Robin.

Razer had acquired all the core assets, employees, and management of Nextbit. The company hasn’t uttered a single word on the specifications of the Razer Phone yet. However, the GFXbench listing brought some key features into the limelight.

Going by the listing, the game-centric Razer Phone will have a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display (1440x2560 Pixels) with regular 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is expected to run on the Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.4 GHz. The Adreno 540 GPU (that supports DirectX 12 and Vulkan APIs) coupled with 8 GB of RAM will be ample for any heavy mobile gamer to have a smooth experience.

The onboard storage might be limited to 64 GB and we haven’t got any hints about the availability of memory expansion. When it comes to the camera, chances are the Razor Phone will use dual 12 MP shooters on the back and an 8 MP snapper up-front for selfies. This single SIM device has zero chance in disappointing you in any connectivity options as well.
