Coolpad Note 3 Android Marshmallow based Cool UI 8.0 public beta build now available
Coolpad has today announced a public beta build of Android 6.0 Marshmallow based CoolUI 8.0 for the Coolpad Note 3.
The beta build is not available for the public to download and can be flashed using SP Flash Tools. The beta build is still not ready for prime use as there are still some issues that need to be rectified including front-camera turning blank at times, higher than normal noise on call and VOLTE under testing.
The company is also working on OTA update to bring Marshmallow to the Coolpad Note 3 soon, and given that a public beta is already being offered, we may see a release soon. Coolpad also announced that Note 3 Lite Marshmallow beta testing will begin in the third week of June.
The Marshmallow beta update for Coolpad Note 3 weighs in at about 1GB and can be downloaded from their forum. You can follow this flashing guide to install it, but make sure you follow the tutorial to a T and also take a backup of our data.
