Apple is closing the shutters on Beats Music this month
After acquiring Beats Music for $3 Billion about an year ago, Apple is closing the music streaming service on November 30.
Apple has said that all current subscriptions will be cancelled on the date mentioned, but the company is encouraging customers to join Apple Music instead, keeping their preferences and choices in-tact.
Apple Music was announced back at WWDC 2015 and has gathered a significant subscriber base of about 15 Million users. Therefore, even for Apple it wouldn't be prudent to run two similar services. Beats Music helped Apple broker deals with Record Labels, and seems that it has now served its purpose.
