Asus ZenWatch 2 goes official in two sizes starting at EUR 149, available next month
Asus has taken the wraps off the its new Android Wear smartwatch, the ZenWatch 2. It comes in two different sizes, 49mm with a 1.6-inch display (320x320 pixels resolution) and 45mm with a 1.45 inch display (280x280 pixels resolution). Both use AMOLED displays with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Both run on the dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM. The larger ZenWatch 2 comes with a 400 mAh battery while the smaller 45mm has a 300 mAh battery.
You can fit a standard 22mm strap on the ZenWatch 2 49mm variant, available options include leather, rubber or metal. While the smaller 45mm ZenWatch has a 18mm strap mount.
Both the ZenWatch 2 models come in silver, rose-gold and gunmetal finishes. The 45mm variant has been priced at EUR 149 (USD 167 or INR 11,000) while the 49mm variant comes at EUR 169 (USD 190 or INR 12500) and it will be available starting in October.
