ASUS ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro launched with 6.67-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865 / 865+ 5G, triple flip camera
ASUS just launched its latest 5G smartphone ASUS ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro at an event in Taiwan, as they promised. These phones have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 200Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and has Side-mounted fingerprint recognition sensor.
The ASUS ZenFone 7 runs on Snapdragon 865 processor while the ZenFone 7 Pro runs on Snapdragon 865+ processor both come with 5G SA/NSA support, up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and works on Zen UI 7 based on Android 10.
Coming to the camera, both have a triple flip camera system where a 64 MP primary camera with a Sony IMX686 sensor along with a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX363 sensor that also captures macro images and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical and up to 12x digital zoom. The primary camera and the telephoto camera come with 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilization) in the ZenFone 7 Pro.
According to the company, the Flip Camera in the ZenFone 7 has a new, 40% smaller, yet more powerful stepper motor. The angle sensor gives more precise 0.5-degree steps control of the flip angle, and also memorize your three favorite flip positions for quick angle switching. The Flip camera has been tested for 200,000 continuous flips.
The ZenFone 7 series is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging in the box, and both come in Pastel White and Aurora Black colors.
