Asus Zenfone 4 Max launched with dual cameras, 5000 mAh battery
Asus has launched the new Zenfone 4 Max in Russia, packing a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor running Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI 3.0. But the main feature of the device are the dual 13MP rear cameras, one comes with an 80-degree wide-angle lens, while the other packs a 120-degree wide-angle lens which helps capture landscape shots. There's PDAF available for super fast focusing on the main camera. It is a similar approach to what LG has been doing with its flagship dual-camera smartphones.
In the front too you get a wide-angle camera with 8MP resolution along with a selfie flash.
Then there's the massive 5000 mAh battery which has always set the Zenfone Max series apart from other smartphones. It promises more than one and a half months of standby time, 40 hours of talk time and 22 hours of continuous video playback. There is support for 10W fast charging as well. Moreover, you can use the Zenfone 4 Max to charge other devices.
All this is neatly tucked inside a metal unibody shell 8.9mm in thickness, but weighing a hefty 181 grams. On the connectivity front, there's 4G VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a fingerprint sensor there as well.
The Asus Zenfone 4 Max will be available in Black, Gold and Pink color options. It has been priced at 13,900 rubles ($234 or Rs. 15,170) for the 2GB RAM variant with 16GB onboard storage. It is expected to go on sale soon, at present there is no word on a global launch.
