Asus Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 get Android Lollipop update in India
After several delays, Android 5.0 Lollipop update is now rolling out to the the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 in India. The update is available for the following models:
- ZenFone 4 (A400CG/A400CXG)
- ZenFone 5 (A500CG/A501CG)
- ZenFone 6 (A600CG/A601CG)
But the road to the update is not that easy, you need to install it manually for now. You can head to the Asus Support Helpdesk, find your phone's support page and download the Android L update. You would need to factory reset your device, so do backup your device before proceeding with the update.
There are a lot of changes inside including better performance and battery-life, alongwith several UI changes on the outside. But Asus has managed to keep ZenUI pretty similar so the shift won't be so jarring. At present we don't have any confirmation whether the update will be available over-the-air or not.
