Apple puts up WWDC banners saying 7 and X at the Moscone center, makes us think
Alright, we are going to say this outright Apple is probably going to release iOS 7 at its World Wide Developer Conference 2013 (WWDC) and probably a new version of OS X as well. Now that we have got that out of the way, lets speculate.
It has been widely reported that Apple is moving away from its skeuomorphic design language to a more flatter interface made popular by Microsoft. iOS 7 will have a flatter look and you'll see less of gradients and more solid colors in a new avatar. Apart from that we can expect updates to all major apps including the Maps app. There are talks of a new notification center as well which will be similar to Android and somewhat better as well. A new 13-inch Macbook Air may also be unveiled at WWDC.
Both the logos that you see above in the images are in a different font than what is used by Apple, namely Myriad Pro. Let's see how smoothly this transition goes. Under the new CEO Apple has been faltering and with its legal tussles far from over a hit at WWDC would go a long way. Here's to Tim Cook and lets hope the new design language Apple is using in iOS 7 will be as revolutionary as Apple is going to claim it.
