Alcatel POP 2 with 4.5-inch display becomes first Windows Phone with 64-bit processor
Alcatel launched its POP 2 series of smartphones at IFA, but now there's a Windows Phone running variant of the Android handset as well. The Alcatel POP 2 Windows Phone comes with the same specs, and the new Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor alongwith the newly minted Adreno 306 GPU taking care of graphics. A dual-SIM variant is also available.
Other specs include a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, 1 GB RAM with 8 GB internal storage which is expandable with microSD cards. There's a 4 MP rear camera and VGA front-facing camera on-board and if you were wondering where have you seen this phone before, it looks a lot like the Moto G especially with the replaceable back-covers. There's a 2000 mAh battery which keeps the juices flowing and the POP 2 will be available in white, blue, purple, green, red and yellow colors.
The Alcatel POP 2 with Windows Phone has been priced at $154 (about Rs. 9300) which is an excellent price given the specs. At present there is no word on whether it will be available in India or when.
