Acer Iconia One 7 with dual-core Intel Atom Z2560, 7-inch HD display announced
Acer just announced another budget tablet, the Iconia One 7 with a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 7-inch HD (1280x800 pixels) display running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with 1 GB RAM. Acer says that its upgradable to Android KitKat as well.
There's a 5 megapixel primary and a 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera available as well. The Iconia One 7 will be available in two storage options, 8 GB or 16 GB with microSD card expansion slot. There's a moderately large 3700 mAh battery also thrown in which promises 7 hours of battery life with display on and continuous 720p HD video playback. Even with that its just 8.9mm thin and weighs in at 320 grams.
It seems the tech industry's flirtation with "One" is here to stay, now the Iconia One 7 may make no sense as to why its named as such but still it packs quite a bit to deserve another look. Especially considering its been priced at just $129.99 (about Rs. 7860) in the US. It would be available in Red, Pink, Black and White colors.
