Here are 3 things you didn't know about the Oppo F3
Oppo yesterday launched its new selfie-centric smartphone, the Oppo F3. It brings dual selfie cameras, metal design and is priced at Rs. 19,990, exclusively available on Flipkart online.
Talking about specs, the Oppo F3 packs a 5.5-inch display 1080p display, octa-core MediaTek MT 6750T Turbo processor with 4GB RAM running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Color OS on top. But this is already what we know about the F3, here a few details you may have missed.
3 Things you didn't know about the Oppo F3
Those Front Cameras are Special
Both Oppo and Vivo have hit the right nerve with people of India. To that effect, both companies launched their dual front camera smartphones this year.
The Oppo F3 takes things a bit further, the primary 16MP front camera has a larger f/2.0 aperture lens, 1/3.1-inch sensor, and a slightly wide 76.4-degree wide angle lens.
The second 8MP camera is where things get really interesting, it has a super wide 120-degree lens which lets you capture more of the scene you are around and also a large group of friends. It's something LG G6 also does, but for its rear cameras.

You can use Oppo F3's Fingerprint sensor with wet fingers
The fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button is quite sensitive and you can even use it with moist hands. I actually went a bit further and tried it with dripping wet fingers, and it still worked.
Its display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5
The Oppo F3 is one of the first smartphones under Rs. 20,000 that comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection for its display. It means, that the front panel is less prone to scratches and may survive a few accidental drops. It is also very smooth to the touch.
Now, there are a few other things we liked about the Oppo F3, it has 2 SIM card slots and a separate microSD card slot. Always a welcome addition.
It comes with 64GB onboard storage and the rear camera too gets PDAF but a slightly narrow f/2.2 aperture. Battery life should be decent with its 3200 mAh battery but given all this tech has been filled in a 7.3mm thin body is quite an achievement.
Pricing though could have been more competitive, given the Vivo V5s is available for less in the same price segment. While Xiaomi has been outselling most other phones in the sub Rs. 15,000 segment online. Another competition is the Moto G5 Plus, which has been lauded for its rear camera which uses the same sensor as the Galaxy S7/Edge.
