Xiaomi Redmi 5 Android Smartphone was launched in December 2017. It is priced in India at Rs. 8999 ($150.00), running on the Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone has 3/4 GB RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage which is expandable using microSD, up to 128 GB (uses SIM 2 slot).
The Redmi 5 has a 5.7 inches, 720 x 1440 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 282 ppi. Coming to cameras, it has a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera for selfies. It has a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging. There is a notification LED present on the Redmi 5 as well, along with a fingerprint sensor, magnetic field sensor (compass), infrared sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 4G LTE, USB OTG, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth and GPS too.
The Redmi 5 runs on Android OS, v7.1.2 (Nougat) and all this is powered by a 3300 mAh battery. It measures 151.8 x 72.8 x 7.7 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 157 grams including battery.
