Samsung Galaxy S8+ Android Smartphone was launched in March 2017. It is priced in India at Rs. 64900 ($845.00), running on the Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835/ Exynos 8895 Octa processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The phone has 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage which is expandable using microSD, up to 256 GB (dedicated slot).
The Galaxy S8+ has a 6.2 inches, 1440 x 2960 pixels Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 531 ppi. It has Gorilla Glass protection as well. Coming to cameras, it has a 12 MP rear camera and a 8 MP front camera for selfies. It has a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging. There is a notification LED present on the Galaxy S8+ as well, along with a fingerprint sensor, magnetic field sensor (compass), gyroscope sensor, heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer sensor. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 4G LTE, USB OTG, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS too.
The Galaxy S8+ runs on Android OS, v7.0 (Nougat) and all this is powered by a 3500 mAh battery. It measures 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 173 grams including battery.
