Lava Iris X8 Android Smartphone was launched in February 2015. It is priced in India at Rs. 6649 ($97.78), running on the Mediatek MT6592M processor with Mali-450MP4 GPU. The phone has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB (12.9 GB for mass storage) of internal storage which is expandable using microSD, up to 32 GB.
The Iris X8 has a 5.0 inches HD, 720 x 1280 pixels IPS display with a pixel density of 294 ppi. It has Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection as well. Coming to cameras, it has a 8 MP rear camera and a 3 MP front camera for selfies. It has a microUSB port for data syncing and charging. There is a accelerometer sensor present on the Iris X8. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 3G, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth and GPS too.
The Iris X8 runs on Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), planned upgrade to v5.0 (Lollipop) and all this is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. It measures 143.4x70.9x8.6 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 160 grams including battery.
