XOLO to launch Micromax Canvas 4 competitor with new Q series phone
XOLO, one of Micromax's competition here in India is planning to launch a new Q series smartphone to rival the Canvas 4, which will be priced below the Canvas 4 between Rs. 16,000 and 17,000. The new QCore series phone will run on a quad-core processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
In terms of specifications FoneArena notes that the new XOLO phone will feature a HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor (probably MediaTek MT6589T), 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP front-facing camera just like the Micromax Canvas 4. It is going to rival the Canvas 4 in terms of thickness at just 6.8 mm, although the new XOLO phone does not have a name yet, it will be launched in last week of July, and probably go on sale in August.
Micromax launched the Canvas 4 yesterday in a press event in New Delhi, and priced it at Rs. 17,999. Since the launch several competitors have launched or started pre-order of their devices including the Karbonn Titanium S9. XOLO too started pre-orders of the XOLO Play, a NVIDIA Tegra 3 based smartphone for Rs. 15,999.
