Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm and Smart Band 11 Launched with AMOLED Displays, 150+ Sports Modes, HyperOS 4

Xiaomi has expanded its wearable lineup in China with the launch of the Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm and Xiaomi Smart Band 11, introduced alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max smartphones. The company has also announced a limited Transparent Edition of the Watch S5 featuring a larger 47mm case.

Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm and Transparent Edition

The Xiaomi Watch S5 41mm measures 9.9mm in thickness and weighs 36g. It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 3000 nits peak brightness. The design combines a ceramic bezel with a stainless steel body, a 24-facet diamond-cut crown and floating lugs.

The smartwatch is available with calfskin leather or fluororubber straps in Ceramic White, Sea Salt Blue and Black. Xiaomi offers hundreds of watch faces, along with four interactive pet designs connected to functions such as time, weather, exercise and stress. Completing the three-ring activity goal for five consecutive days unlocks additional hidden animations.

Battery endurance is rated at up to 14 days under maximum usage, 8 days with routine monitoring and 5 days when the always-on display is enabled.

Watch S5 Transparent Edition

The limited Transparent Edition comes with a 47mm octagonal case featuring Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, a transparent middle frame and a stainless steel bezel. Xiaomi says the body undergoes 240 minutes of CNC carving, 800 minutes of polishing, and more than 20 additional manufacturing processes. The finished body achieves 810 HV0.05 Vickers hardness.

Health and Fitness Features

The Watch S5 41mm incorporates a four-light, four-PD heart rate and blood oxygen sensor supported by Xiaomi's self-developed heart rate algorithm 2.0. Xiaomi claims heart rate accuracy of up to 98.4%.

Health monitoring features include heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, stress and breathing relaxation tracking. The watch also monitors sleep HRV, physiological baselines and weekly and monthly health trends, while AI-based sleep analysis provides interpretations and recommendations.

Additional health functions include menstrual cycle, fertile window and ovulation predictions, along with three wrist temperature sensors offering ±0.1°C accuracy. The watch also provides cycle-based workout guidance, calorie management and dual-band UVA/UVB monitoring.

For exercise tracking, it supports more than 150 sports modes, dual-frequency GNSS and five major satellite systems. Its cycling mode supports phone data synchronization, cycling reports and third-party Bluetooth power meters.

Safety and Smart Features

The Watch S5 includes emergency assistance that can be activated by pressing the side key three times. Holding the lower key for three seconds can directly call 110, 120 or 119. Xiaomi has also added a high-frequency whistle and real-time location sharing with emergency contacts.

With Xiaomi HyperOS 4, the watch can control compatible Xiaomi TVs, speakers, lights, air conditioners and air purifiers. Other connected functions include remote photography, phone finding, earphone controls and smart door lock notifications.

For supported vehicles, the smartwatch can provide fatigue-driving, speeding and battery-range alerts, navigation reminders and Bluetooth car-key functionality. Users can also remotely control vehicle air conditioning, locking, unlocking and the trunk.

Other functions include the WeChat Watch Edition with voice-to-text, emoticons and quick replies, as well as third-party applications for payments, travel, music, productivity and lifestyle services. Super Xiao Ai provides features such as Q&A, weather information, translation and quick operations.

A dedicated Game Mode can display character status, provide vibration alerts and generate post-battle reports. For iPhone users, the watch supports notifications, Shortcuts, remote photography, music controls, phone finding and Apple Health synchronization.

Xiaomi Smart Band 11

Alongside the Watch S5 series, Xiaomi has introduced the Smart Band 11. The new fitness band measures 9.99mm in thickness and weighs 15.58g. Xiaomi says the body is 9% thinner than the previous generation, making it the company's thinnest smartband in ten years.

The Smart Band 11 features a 1.72-inch AMOLED display with up to 2000 nits peak brightness and ultra-narrow 2mm equal bezels. Its construction includes an aluminum alloy middle frame with a matte sandblasted finish and a quick-release strap mechanism. Users can also customise the device with DIY watch faces.

Smart Band 11 Health and Fitness

The Smart Band 11 uses a dual-lamp, dual-PD heart rate sensor paired with Xiaomi's self-developed algorithm for all-day heart rate monitoring and abnormal heart rate alerts.

The health suite includes all-day blood oxygen and stress monitoring, breathing relaxation guidance, female physiological cycle recording and prediction, sleep HRV monitoring and sleep trend reports. AI-based sleep analysis also provides recommendations related to rest and exercise.

The band supports more than 150 workout modes, covering activities such as running, cycling, swimming, yoga and boxing. It includes 10 wrist-based running courses with heart-rate zones and vibration reminders.

For swimming, the device supports real-time heart rate monitoring, AI stroke recognition, and 9-axis posture turn detection. Xiaomi claims lap-recording accuracy of up to 95%. The Smart Band 11 also carries a 5ATM water-resistance rating and supports Bluetooth heart rate broadcasting for compatible cycling computers.

HyperOS 4 and Connected Features

Xiaomi HyperOS 4 brings a dual-column system application layout and an integrated device center to the Smart Band 11. The band can be used to control personal devices, Mi Home products, and supported vehicle functions.

Battery life reaches up to 21 days in ultra-long mode, 12 days in regular mode, and 7 days with the always-on display enabled.

Additional functions include remote photography, finding phones and tablets, and managing earphone settings. Compatible vehicles can be monitored or controlled for functions such as battery status, temperature, seat controls, seat heating and music.

The Smart Band 11 also supports Mi Home automation scenarios, prioritised updates for ride-hailing and food delivery services, and a Universal Page Turner for short videos, novels and PPT presentations.

Its Game Mode can show game progress and respawn countdowns, while also supporting heart rate and emotion monitoring and match-summary sharing. Xiaomi says the band supports more than 400 mainstream games, although game-progress display is currently supported on Xiaomi 17 series models.

Users can further customise vibration effects and install third-party applications such as to-do lists, countdown timers and mini-games.

For Apple devices, the Smart Band 11 supports synchronized notifications between an iPhone and a Xiaomi phone, Shortcuts, and remote iPhone photography.
