Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Mi Pad going on sale today on Flipkart
Xiaomi is going to do the first flash sale of the Redmi 2 in India today on Flipkart at 2 PM for registered customers. The Xiaomi Mi Pad however will be going on sale today at 12 PM without any registration, its an open sale.

The Redmi 2 is a refinement over the Redmi 1s, it comes with 4G LTE support, quad-core Snapdragon 410 with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. 8 MP rear and 2 MP front cameras are still there. At Rs. 6999 the Redmi 2 is a must buy if you are looking for a budget smartphone, you can see our comparison with the Lenovo A6000 below.
Xiaomi Mi Pad
The Xiaomi Mi Pad is just an absolute steal at Rs. 12,999. With a 7.9-inch quad-HD display, NVIDIA Tegra K1 with 192 core GPU, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage, 8 MP / 5 MP cameras you really can't go wrong with the Mi Pad here. You can watch our Hands-on below with a bit of gaming involved.
It will only be available in white color. For the price its the best tablet you can buy but it doesn't come with voice calling, which many of you might be looking for. But then again I really don't get voice calling on a tablet form-factor.
