Vivo X Fold6 launched in India with 8.02-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED displays, Dimensity 9500 Super SoC, 200MP ZEISS Camera, 6900mAh battery

Vivo has officially launched its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the vivo X Fold6 in India, with a focus on productivity, seamless multitasking, premium performance, and advanced photography capabilities.

Display, Performance, and Durability

The vivo X Fold6 comes equipped with dual ZEISS Master Color Displays, consisting of an 8.02-inch (20.38 cm) inner display and a 6.51-inch (16.53 cm) cover display. Both screens support adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz and offer a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.

Powering the foldable is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, developed in collaboration with vivo and paired with the company’s Ultra-Efficient Concurrent Engine. Connectivity is managed by a 1+4 communication chipset designed to enable smoother switching between cellular networks and Wi-Fi.

The device also offers enhanced protection against environmental conditions, with IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance, along with IP5X dust and freeze resistance.

Software and Productivity Features

The vivo X Fold6 runs OriginOS 7 and includes a range of software features designed specifically for its large foldable display.

• Origin Workbench and Multi-Split Screen: These features allow users to run a primary task alongside up to four supporting applications simultaneously, with the option to resize windows according to their requirements.
• AI Cross-App Drag: This feature enables users to transfer text and media directly between supported applications. For example, text extracted from an image can be moved directly into a translation application.
• Cross-Device Workflow: The phone supports Desktop Mode, allowing users to create multi-window setups on external displays using a keyboard and mouse. PC integration is available through the vivo Office Kit, while Jovi provides additional system assistance.
• Meeting and Document Tools: The device includes AI Recorder for speaker transcription and summaries, AI Captions for real-time subtitles during video calls, Smart Call Assistant, AI File Manager, and AI Reader Mode, which can restructure PDF documents into an eBook-style reading format.

Camera Hardware and Features

The vivo X Fold6's camera system has been developed in collaboration with ZEISS and is powered by the vivo V3+ imaging chip.

• Main Camera: 200MP ZEISS main camera with ZEISS T* coating and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
• Telephoto Camera: ZEISS APO Telephoto camera based on the Sony LYTIA 602 sensor and vivo VCS technology, supporting Telephoto Macro photography and digital zoom of up to 100x.

• The camera software includes Motion Portrait 2.0 and Night Flash Portrait modes, along with support for 4K video recording at 60fps with Dolby Vision.

vivo has also added foldable-focused camera features such as a Cover Screen Teleprompter and Split-Screen Preview, allowing users to preview and control the shooting experience more conveniently.

Battery and Charging

The vivo X Fold6 packs a 6,900mAh battery based on fifth-generation silicon anode technology and third-generation semi-solid-state chemistry, designed to provide greater stability in lower-temperature conditions.

The foldable supports 80W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge for fast charging.

The vivo X Fold6 will be available in Nebula Teal and Prism Black finishes. The foldable is offered in a single configuration with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, priced at Rs. 2,19,1999.

Pre-bookings for the device are now open in India, while sales will begin on October 13. Customers will be able to purchase the vivo X Fold6 through the vivo India e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, and authorized retail stores.
