Sony Xperia ZL2 announced in Japan with 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801
Sony has announced the Xperia ZL2 in Japan. Just likes its predecessor, the Xperial ZL its a smaller brother of the Xperia Z2 without the dust and water proofing. The Xperia ZL2 has even slimmer bezels than the Xperia Z2 and obviously a smaller profile due to the 5-inch 1080p display.
The Xperia ZL2 features a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU and 3 GB RAM just like the Xperia Z2. There's 32 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable upto 128 GB using a microSD card. The ZL2 runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sony's Xperia UI on top. At the back of the ZL2 you have the same 20.7 MP shooter as the Z2 capable of recording 4K video alongwith a 3000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. Here's a video showing the Xperia ZL2.
The connectivity department is full with Wi-Fi 802.11ac support, Bluetooth 4.0 LE as well as Sony's favorite NFC.
