Sony Xperia Z3+ launched in India with 20.7MP camera, Snapdragon 810 for Rs. 55,990
Sony today launched the Xperia Z3+ in India. Announced last month, the Xperia Z3+ has a 5.2-inch 1080p Triluminous and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128GB running Android 5.0 Lollipop. A 20.7MP camera with 1/2.3-inch ExmorRS sensor sits at the back capable of recording 4K videos alongwith a 5.1MP front-facing camera also utilizing Sony's own ExmorR sensor with a 25mm wide-angle lens.
Just with every Sony flagship of late, the Xperia Z3+ too comes with IP65/IP68 dust and water resistance alongwith a capless microUSB port. Sony has added ability to play high-def audio on the Z3+ with the company's own DSEE HX audio technology and LDAC codec support. The Xperia Z3+ is impressively thin at 6.9mm and comes with a metal/glass construction. The sides are more rounded this time around making for a better grip, made of metal while the front and back are Corning Gorilla Glass. The build on the device is superb. There's a 2930 mAh battery with Stamina mode which is supposed to last 2 days on a single charge.
4G LTE support is baked in this single-SIM device with support for Indian 4G FDD and TDD LTE bands. Dual-band WiFi ac MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with GLONASS support, MHL 3.0, NFC also come standard. Moreover, there are a few color choices including the more demure Black, White alongwith the more interesting Copper and Aqua Green options.
The Sony Xperia Z3+ is available starting today priced at Rs. 55990 and with that you get a Quick Charger worth Rs. 3,490 bundled within the box. But even then the Xperia Z3+ is quite overpriced especially when you can get the S6 Edge for something around Rs. 49,500 which is about 6000 bucks less.
I am working on the hands-on of the Xperia Z3+, will update this post and also make a first impressions with images of all the color variants. Stay Tuned.
