Sony Xperia 1 VI Display Specs Surfaced Online Revealing 2K+ Display with wider 19.5:9 aspect ratio
Sony's Xperia smartphones have gained acclaim for their distinctive 21:9 aspect ratio cinematic 4K displays. However, according to information from the leakster Zackbuks, there's a significant design departure anticipated for the upcoming Xperia 1 VI.
In a Weibo post mentioning "Xperia 5 Series – R.IP 2024," it's suggested that the new Xperia 1 VI might feature a 2K panel, marking a deviation from its predecessors. Recent leaks indicate that the Xperia 1 VI is likely to sport a 2K+ or Quad HD+ display, with a resolution of around 3200 x 1440 pixels, adopting a more conventional 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Despite this alteration, rumors suggest that the overall design will remain largely consistent, albeit with a slightly smaller yet wider form factor. The phone's appearance is expected to resemble previous Xperia models, retaining thick top and bottom bezels along with a left-aligned camera bump.
Reports indicate that the Xperia 1 VI will come equipped with a triple camera setup on the rear, with all three sensors rumored to be 48MP Exmor T sensors. This setup includes a 48MP 1/2.7″ periscope telephoto sensor capable of 3x optical zoom and up to 6x zoom via sensor crop.
Regarding the release date, zackbuks suggests a global launch in May. Concrete details about the Sony Xperia 1 VI are currently scarce, but more information is anticipated as the launch date draws near.
