Qualcomm Set to Unveil Flagship Snapdragon Chip on March 18th; Expected Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC
Qualcomm has scheduled an event for March 18th in China to unveil a flagship Snapdragon chip, purportedly named Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635) SoC. This chip is rumored to share a similar architecture with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will include a Cortex-X4 core.
Reportedly, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC will integrate a configuration of 1 x 3.01GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720 + 3x 1.84GHz Cortex-A520 CPU, resembling the architecture of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but featuring an Adreno 735 GPU.
During the event, Qualcomm is anticipated to introduce the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) as well. This chip is expected to have a similar architecture but with different clock speeds, featuring a configuration of 1 x 2.9GHz Cortex-X4 + 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720 + 3x 1.9GHz Cortex-A520 CPU and Adreno 732 GPU.
According to previous speculations, the realme GT Neo6 is rumored to utilize the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, while the Neo 6 SE might integrate the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675) SoC. Additionally, there are rumors surrounding devices like the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, an upcoming iQOO Neo9 series phone, and the vivo Pad 3, all purported to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
Recently, a Xiaomi phone with the model number 24053PY09C received certification from TENAA, speculated to be the Civi 4 powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
The OnePlus Ace 3V (potentially Nord 4/5) that emerged recently is rumored to come equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. A comprehensive list of devices utilizing these chips is anticipated upon their introduction next week.
