Sharp AQUOS sense8 launched with 6.1-inch FHD+ 90Hz IGZO OLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, 50MP Camera

Sharp Corporation has unveiled the AQUOS sense8, a fresh addition to its smartphone lineup in Japan. This phone boasts a 6.1-inch FHD+ IGZO OLED display with a remarkable brightness of 1300 nits, a silky-smooth 90Hz refresh rate, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It runs on the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, expandable up to a massive 1TB using a microSD card.

The AQUOS sense8 is based on Android 13 with three major OS updates and five years of security patches. It has a 50MP primary rear camera with 2x optical zoom and image stabilization (OIS), along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP front-facing camera. It also supports HDR photography.

Despite its impressive features, it maintains a lightweight profile, tipping the scales at a mere 159 grams, and it offers protection against dust and water thanks to its IP68 rating. Additionally, it is designed for durability, carrying MIL-STD-810G certification. The device is equipped with a substantial 5000mAh battery, ensuring up to 10 hours of usage.

The AQUOS sense8 comes in Cobalt black, light copper, and pale green colors, and it will be available in Japan at an expected price of around JPY 62,150 (USD 416 or Rs. 34,680 approx.)
