Samsung Unveils Intelligent AI Eyewear at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 with Google Gemini, Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 SoC
Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new intelligent eyewear at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London. Following earlier announcements made at Google I/O, the smart glasses were developed in partnership with renowned eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The device extends the Galaxy ecosystem beyond smartphones, offering a wearable AI experience tailored for everyday activities, work, travel, and hands-free convenience.
Design and Collaboration
The intelligent eyewear is built with a lightweight frame, slim profile, and durable construction to ensure all-day comfort. Samsung worked closely with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to create multiple frame designs, colours, and lens options that combine style with advanced technology.
- Gentle Monster Edition: Features a sleek black frame with a straight upper rim and softly curved lower edges.
- Warby Parker Edition: Comes with a brown frame highlighted by a subtly upswept brow line.
Samsung also collaborated extensively with both partners to fine-tune the fit around the forehead and ears, ensuring comfort while seamlessly integrating the required hardware without compromising durability.
AI Features and User Experience
Powered by Google Gemini through Samsung's collaboration with Google, the intelligent eyewear delivers AI-powered assistance in a wearable form factor. Users can interact using voice commands, touch controls, and gestures through connected Galaxy devices.
Key features include:
- Smart messaging and information: Summarizes lengthy messages, reads important notifications aloud, and provides live language translation.
- Visual intelligence: The integrated camera captures what users see, including whiteboards and meeting notes, organizes key information into Notes, and allows users to review, share, or follow up later.
- Real-time navigation: Offers location-based guidance, route planning, destination assistance, nearby place information, and live translation during conversations.
- Live visual sharing: Lets users share their real-time point of view during calls or record first-person videos while keeping their hands free.
- Context-aware AI: Understands ongoing tasks and user context to provide relevant information with fewer repeated prompts.
Samsung has also integrated privacy controls and security safeguards to help users access AI-powered features securely without frequently switching to a smartphone screen.
Hardware and Battery
The intelligent eyewear combines a lightweight design with hardware optimized for daily use. It is powered by the Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform, enabling real-time AI processing, responsive touch controls, efficient connectivity, enhanced power management, and improved thermal performance within its compact form factor.
An integrated camera supports AI-powered visual recognition features. The intelligent eyewear delivers up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, while the included charging case provides up to seven additional full recharges.

Samsung has not yet announced the pricing or availability details for its intelligent eyewear.
Commenting on the announcement, Won-Joon Choi, Chief Operating Officer of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, said:
