Samsung Galaxy S7 Active goes official with shatter-proof display

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is now official and will be an AT&T exclusive in the US. Just like the previous versions, the Galaxy S7 Active is a rugged variant of the regular S7 but with a larger 4000 mAh battery, shatter resistant display and Military Grade drop-protection.

Now, coming to the rest of the specs, you have a 5.1-inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S7 Active, it runs on the Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC with 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has both IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, alongwith drop-protection with Military grade certification MIL STD-810G.

You also have a customizable Active button which can be used to trigger a specific app or event within the smartphone. Moreover, you do have fingerprint sensor up front alongwith physical buttons for back and recent apps as well.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy S7 Active will come in Sandy Gold, Titanium Gray and Camo Green. It will be available starting June 10th in both stores and online through AT&T. You can go for the AT&T Next plan at $26.50 per month for 30 months or the Next Every Year plan with 24 payments of $33.13.
