First look at the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, rugged, dust and water resistant smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been in talks for quite some time now, and its now shown its face on camera. The images show that the phone is indeed dust and water resistant, but if it matches the military specifications of the Sony Xperia Z is still to be known.
The specifications are same as the US version of the Galaxy S4 with quad-core 1.9 GHz processor, Adreno 320 GPU running on a Snapdragon 600 Chipset. The reported pixel density is 480 pixels for a 1080p display which means it will be a sub 5-inch display, in the realm of 4.5 - 4.7 inches. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has a 8MP primary shooter which is a downgrade from the 13MP shooter in the Galaxy S4 I9505 and Galaxy S4 I9500.
Despite being from the Galaxy S4 family and similar specs, the Galaxy S4 Active looks quite different from the GS4. It has a metallic body with screws at the back and three hardware buttons at the bottom of the display.
There has been no official announcement from Samsung, but the phone did make rounds in Croatia so an announcement in the coming week won't be too far fetched.
