Samsung Galaxy F70 5G launching in India on October 18th with 120Hz AMOLED Display, 50MP OIS Camera, 5000mAh Battery

Samsung is preparing to launch its latest mid-range smartphone in the F-series portfolio, the Galaxy F70 5G in India on October 18th, following the introduction of the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G in August.

Ahead of the official launch, the company has released promotional materials revealing the smartphone’s key specifications, design, and software features. Expected to compete in the sub-₹20,000 segment with launch offers, the device highlights a slim design, optical image stabilization, and long-term software support.

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy F70 5G features a slim 7.5mm profile and a minimalist rear design with vertically aligned cameras. It will be available in two color options: Lilac Bliss and Bliss Black.

On the front, the handset sports a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for vibrant visuals and smoother scrolling. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to help guard against scratches and accidental drops.

Camera System

The Galaxy F70 5G features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which helps reduce motion blur and improve image quality in low-light conditions.

The camera system also includes:

A 5MP ultra-wide camera for landscape photography and group shots.
A 2MP macro camera for capturing close-up subjects.
A 13MP front camera housed in a waterdrop notch for selfies and video calls.

Hardware and Battery

The smartphone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 octa-core processor, which supports 5G connectivity. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging, in line with the charging capabilities offered by several devices in Samsung’s budget and mid-range portfolios.

Software and Security

Samsung is emphasizing software longevity and security with the Galaxy F70 5G. The company has confirmed four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates, providing an extended support period for the segment.

For security, the device incorporates Samsung Knox, a hardware-backed security platform designed to protect user data. It also supports Samsung Wallet for contactless payments and digital ID storage.

Additional software features include Circle to Search with Google, Quick Share for file transfers, and Voice Focus for clearer calls.

Launch Date and Expected Pricing

The Samsung Galaxy F70 5G is scheduled to launch in India on October 18, 2026, and will be available through Flipkart and Samsung’s official sales channels.

Promotional teasers suggest an introductory price starting at ₹1X,XXX, although the exact pricing has not yet been confirmed. With an expected price below ₹20,000 after launch offers, the device will compete with mid-range smartphones from brands such as realme, Redmi, and Motorola.
