Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) Renders Surface online, looking a lot like the Galaxy S7
Samsung is prepping a new 5.7-inch phablet after the Note 7. Renders of the Galaxy A8 (2016) appeared online today showcasing a very Galaxy S7 - esque design but with some minor changes.
First of all there is no curved display here but it is made of glass and metal. The dimensions, 156.5 x 77.7 x 7.3 mm do make it a tad bit wider and taller than the Galaxy Note 7 and it does retain the curved glass back. The images do come from a credible source, and they depict a slight change in Samsung's design going forward.
If you look to the right you will be able to see a small hollow opening above the power button, that seems to the new speaker for the phone. Its a strange place to put a speaker but Samsung maybe planning to do something different this time. Dual speakers anyone? But chances of that are limited since there is no other place we could find an orifice where the loud speaker could be.
Rumored specs of the Galaxy A8 (2016) point to a 1080p display, Exynos 7420, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage with a 16MP rear and 5MP front facing cameras. This one is also expected to launch with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box but missing all the new bells and whistles from the Note 7.
So, what you think about the new device? Does the speaker position intrigue you, do you find it to be better than at the bottom of the phone? Hit us up in comment section.
