Samsung Galaxy A36 5G Appeared on Geekbench listing Revealing Snapdragon 6 Gen 3/7s Gen 2 SoC, Android 15

Samsung is gearing up to release the latest iteration of its popular A series, expected to launch next year after the Galaxy S25 series. The Galaxy A36 recently appeared on Geekbench listing revealing key specifications ahead of its official debut.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A36 will run Android 15 out of the box, suggesting it could come with Samsung’s upcoming One UI 7.0, which will feature a range of Galaxy AI capabilities. The listing also provides details about the CPU, featuring an ARM-based octa-core processor with four performance cores running at 2.40 GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.80 GHz. The device scored 1060 in single-core performance and 3070 in multi-core performance.

Equipped with an Adreno 710 GPU, the Galaxy A36 is likely powered by either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset—both 4nm processors with 5G support. The Geekbench variant of the phone comes with 6GB of RAM, though it's likely that Samsung will offer models with higher RAM and storage configurations. The device is also expected to follow the 6-year OS update policy, similar to the Galaxy A16 5G.

Additional features we can anticipate include a Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, a high-resolution main camera with OIS, Knox security, and various Galaxy AI features. More details are expected to emerge in the coming months.
