Samsung Galaxy A16 5G launched in India starting at Rs.18,999 with 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, 6 OS updates
Samsung launched its latest low mid-range smartphone in the A series, the Galaxy A16 5G in India, following its launch in Europe last week. While the European variant features an Exynos 1330 SoC, the Indian model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with 8 GB RAM, up to 256 GB storage and is based on Android 14 with One UI 6, this is the first mid-range Samsung smartphone to receive 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates, with support until October 31, 2030.
The other specifications remain consistent, including a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a notch, a 50MP main rear camera with 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and a 13MP front camera. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support (charger sold separately). The device also has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
