Samsung Unveils Freestyle+ AI-Powered Portable Projector Ahead of CES 2026

Samsung Electronics has announced the global launch of its newest AI-powered portable projector, the Samsung Freestyle+. Revealed ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the upgraded model retains the original Freestyle’s compact design while adding AI-driven screen optimisation, increased brightness, and expanded built-in entertainment options. The projector is designed to deliver a flexible viewing experience across a variety of spaces with minimal setup.

Freestyle+ AI-Powered Portable Projector -

At the core of the Freestyle+ is AI OptiScreen, Samsung’s intelligent screen optimisation technology that automatically adjusts visuals based on the surrounding projection environment. The system adapts image size, alignment, and quality to different surfaces and room conditions without requiring manual calibration.

Enhancing the experience is Vision AI Companion, Samsung’s personalised AI platform for displays. It combines an upgraded Bixby assistant with AI services from global partners, enabling more natural, conversational interaction with on-screen content.

Key Features -

  • 3D Auto Keystone automatically corrects image distortion when projecting onto uneven or non-flat surfaces such as corners, curtains, or angled walls.
  • Real-Time Focus continuously adjusts focus during movement or rotation to maintain sharp visuals.
  • Screen Fit automatically resizes the image to match the projection area when paired with a compatible projector screen accessory.
  • Wall Calibration analyses the colour and pattern of the projection surface to minimise visual distractions.

Designed with portability in mind, Freestyle+ features a compact cylindrical form factor that can be easily moved between rooms or taken on the go. It delivers 430 ISO lumens of brightness, nearly double that of the previous generation, offering improved visibility in typical indoor environments. A 180-degree rotating design allows projection onto walls, floors, or ceilings without additional mounts or accessories.

The projector includes built-in access to Samsung TV Plus, certified OTT streaming services, and Samsung Gaming Hub, enabling content streaming and gaming without external devices. For audio, it features an integrated 360-degree speaker and supports Q-Symphony for synchronised sound with compatible Samsung soundbars.

Availability and Showcase -

Samsung will showcase the Freestyle+ at CES 2026, running from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas. The company plans a phased global rollout during the first half of 2026.

Commenting on the launch, Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said:

The Freestyle+ reflects Samsung’s vision to create displays that adapt naturally to how people live and move between spaces. By combining true portability with intelligent AI that enhances both the viewing environment and the content itself, The Freestyle+ makes it easier to enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience wherever you are.
