Samsung moves into swanky new Corporate Headquarters to celebrate 20 years in India
Samsung India has moved to their new corporate headquarters in India to celebrate 2 decades in the country. The new office is spread over 5 floors each signifying Samsung's core values of People, Excellence, Change, Integrity and Co-prosperity.
The inauguration of the new office was presided over by
- Kalraj Mishra - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
- Cho Hyun - Korean Ambassador to India
- Santosh Gangwar - Minister of State for Finance
- Kiran Rijiju - Minister of State for Home Affairs
- Vipul Goel - Minister of Industries and Commerce, Environment and Industrial Training
HC Hong, President and CEO for Samsung Southwest Asia alongwith senior Samsung execs hosted the event in the new office space. The new home for Samsung India at the Two Horizon Center, Gurgaon will have 1500 employees working there.
Just to give you a brief, Samsung has established 2 manufacturing centers in India which make everything the company sells in India from high-end flagship smartphones, to everyday household appliances. The company has been making in India and making for India, before the Government initiative ever started. They have 3 R&D centers in the country which work on both hardware and software. Some of the most notable software additions to Samsung smartphones, like UDS, UPS, S-Bike Mode have been developed in India. In total Samsung India employs more than 40,000 people in the country.
