REDMI Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max 5G launched Globally with 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, IP69K ratings, up to 10000mAh battery
Xiaomi has launched its upper mid-range smartphone in the redmi Note 17 Pro series, the REDMI Note 17 Pro, and the series’ first premium-tier model, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G in the Global Market, as they announced.
Both smartphones focus on durability, large-capacity batteries, high-end displays, and extended software support, bringing several flagship-inspired features to the upper mid-range segment.
Durability and Display
The two Pro models feature Xiaomi’s REDMI Titan Structure, which combines reinforced mid-frames, high-strength motherboards, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Xiaomi says both devices have received TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification and SGS-certified drop resistance of up to 3 metres onto granite surfaces.
For protection against water and dust, the smartphones carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. They have also undergone a 2-metre, 72-hour submersion test. Additional features include Underwater Mode and Wet Touch Technology 2.0.
Both phones come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K display offering up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 3,200Hz.
Hardware, Battery and AI Features
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, while the REDMI Note 17 Pro uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. Both models support up to 24GB of effective memory through dynamic RAM expansion.
Xiaomi is also promising long-term software support, with up to six years of security updates. The Pro Max additionally comes with a guaranteed six-year like-new smoothness experience.

Both smartphones support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, along with 4K video recording on the Pro Max. AI-powered editing features include AI Glare Removal and AI Erase Pro.
