REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G and Note 15 Pro+ 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 29,999 with MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra/Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC
Xiaomi has officially launched its latest smartphone in the REDMI Note 15 Pro series, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G and REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G in India, as previously announced.
Build Quality and Durability -
Both smartphones are designed with a strong focus on durability. They feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the display and have received SGS Premium Performance Certification for resistance against drops, pressure, and bending.
The two Pro models also come with advanced ingress protection ratings, meeting IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards, and are certified to survive water immersion up to 2 meters for 24 hours.
The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G further stands out with a fiberglass back panel engineered to improve impact absorption. In addition, the series debuts “Wet Touch 2.0,” a feature that ensures accurate touch response even when the screen or the user’s fingers are wet.
Cameras and AI Features -
At the core of the imaging setup is a new 200MP HPE sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size. The camera system supports in-sensor zoom, delivering 2× and 4× optical-grade zoom and covering five focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm.
Xiaomi has also added several AI-powered features to enhance photography, including:
- Triple-focal-length DAG HDR for better dynamic range
- AI Creativity Assistant for intelligent post-processing
- Dynamic Shots 2.0 for motion effects and object removal
Performance and Hardware -
The two models target different performance tiers with separate chipsets:
- REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and uses Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system, which the company claims offers up to three times better heat-transfer efficiency than conventional cooling solutions.
- REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset.
On the software side, both phones support Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google, while the Pro+ model also integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for system-level AI features.
Connectivity options include the Xiaomi Surge T1S Tuner on the Pro+ for improved signal stability, along with an offline communication mode that enables short-range voice transmission even without cellular coverage.
Display and Audio -
The series features near borderless displays with peak brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort.
- Display sizes - The Pro+ and Pro come with 6.83-inch panels, while the standard Note 15 5G uses a 6.77-inch screen.
- Audio - All models feature stereo speakers with a volume boost mode, offering up to 400% volume on select variants and 300% on the standard model.
Battery and Charging -
Battery life and structural reinforcement are major highlights of the new lineup. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G packs a 6500mAh Silicon–Carbon (SiC) battery with support for 100W fast charging.
The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6580mAh Silicon–Carbon (SiC) battery and supports 45W fast charging. This SiC battery technology makes its debut in the REDMI Note series, offering higher energy density in a compact design. The device also supports 22.5W reverse charging.
According to Xiaomi, the battery system is designed to retain up to 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles, which the company claims translates to roughly six years of typical usage.
