Redmi K40 series will be announced in February 2021 with AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 SoC; price confirmed

Today, Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch its latest flagship 5G smartphone the Redmi K40 series in China next month. The Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing also confirmed that the price of the phone will start at 2,999 yuan (US$ 460 / Rs. 33,993 approx.) and it will be a cost-effective phone which is powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 888 processor.

As we know that the Redmi K30 comes with an LCD screen, but this time the company will use an AMOLED screen in the Redmi K40 series, but it will not be a curved display like the Mi 11 and would feature the most expensive flat screen. According to the rumors, the phone will come with a 120Hz OLED display with a center punch-hole of about 3.7mm and also confirmed that the phone will be powered by a bigger battery than 4000mAh. Since the K30 had a 4500mAh battery as expecting the successor to pack at least a 5000mAh battery.

The Redmi K40 and the K40 Pro are could be launch in February 2021, but It is not clear that the company will introduce a Zoom edition in this series. We should know more details and the full specifications of the phones in the coming weeks.
