Realme GT Neo to be announced on March 31 with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 6nm SoC, up to 8GB RAM

Realme has confirmed that it will introduce the realme GT Neo smartphone with Dimensity 1200 SoC in China on March 31st. Recently, the company launched the Realme GT powered by Snapdragon 888 processor. It already announced that it will adopt a “Dual-platform Dual-flagship” strategy and also said that the phone comes in the mid-to-high-end segment where will adopt both Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series and MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity series 5G platform and release two flagship smartphone series. One will be focusing on the performance aspect, while the other will have a special focus on the camera technology respectively.

The Dimensity 1200 SoC is the company’s first mobile chips to use TSMC’s 6nm process technology. It has an octa-core CPU designed where an ultra-core Arm Cortex-A78 clocked that runs up to 3GHz for extreme performance along with three Arm Cortex-A78 super cores clocked up to 2.6GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2GHz. Realme said that the processor will provide up to 22% faster CPU performance and 25% improved power efficiency as compared to MediaTek Dimenisty 1000+.

Recently, the phone appeared on Geekbench listing with the model number RMX3031 that revealed 6GB RAM with Android 11, and score a single-core  975 and a multi-core score of 3340, almost similar to Snapdragon 870 and Exynos 1080.

Realme vice president Francis Wang has already confirmed that realme GT Neo will be priced around 2,000 yuan (US$ 307 / Rs. 22,290 approx.).  We should know more all details about the phone in the coming days before the launch.
