Realme GT 2 series Launch event will be held on December 20 Globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Expected Under-display camera

Update - Realme has confirmed the Global Launch Event of its latest flagship smartphone the realme GT2 series on December 20th. Last month, the realme CEO Sky Li confirmed the realme GT2 Pro smartphone, and the company also revealed that this phone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

A new leak image has revealed that the realme GT2 Pro will feature under-display camera tech. Other rumors said that the phone will come in two editions where one of which will sport an under-display camera, and another comes with a punch-hole display, the same as Moto edge X30. The image also shows extremely narrow bezels that are equal across the sides and the top.

Earlier - As we know that realme CEO Sky Li already confirmed that the company will launch its first high-end smartphone in the market priced over US$ 800 (Rs. 59,500 approx.). After rumors, he has now confirmed the name that the realme GT 2 Pro will be the company’s first premium flagship phone. The back design of the phone has leaked, which shows a large horizontal camera module that looks similar to Nexus 5P with a triple camera, dual-LED flash. The image also suggests the Realme GT 2 Pro will have dual 50MP cameras and GR Lens that offers the best shooting performance in the smallest camera body.

CEO Sky Li did not reveal any other specs and features, but the phone recently surfaced in AnTuTu listing with the model number RMX3300 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (SM8450) processor that scores 1025215, which is better than the Qualcomm 888 Plus. The renders also revealed 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, 120Hz refresh rate screen, and based on Android 12.

According to the recent rumors, the realme GT2 Pro has expected a 6.8-inch WQHD+ 120Hz OLED screen with triple rear camera setup where 50MP primary along with 50MP ultra wide-angle + 8MP depth / macro camera, and 32MP punch-hole front-facing camera. It comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12, and will be powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 125W UltraDart charging.

We can expect realme will tease the phone at the Snapdragon Tech Summit this week. We should know more details and the specifications of the phone in the coming weeks and the launch is expected in the next year 2022.
