Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 will be held on November 30; Expected Snapdragon 898 4nm SoC with Motorola Edge X
Qualcomm has officially announced its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit for this year that will be held between November 30th to December 2nd, 2021 with the tagline “More to come, soon!”. We already have rumors about the upcoming flagship processor Snapdragon 898 (SM8450) with benchmarks of the chip in a test device back in September.
The leakster digital chat station has posted an image of a phone powered by the Snapdragon 898, which reveals will come with clock speeds of 1 x 3GHz (Prime) + 3 x 2.50GHz (Performance) 3 x 1.79GHz (Efficiency). It uses Adreno 730 GPU compared to the Adreno 660 in the predecessor, but the clock speed is not revealed.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ with Snapdragon 898 benchmarks -
According to the rumors, Xiaomi is expected to be the first company to build a smartphone to use the Snapdragon 898 SoC on its Xiaomi 12. On another side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series could be the first tablet powered by the flagship chip from Qualcomm.
But the Earlier rumors revealed that the Tab S8 series could be run on Snapdragon 888 SoC. Now, the new benchmarks of the Samsung Galaxy tablet with the model number SM-X808U have surfaced online with specs that are matched the leaked specs of 898 SoC and are expected to be Galaxy Tab S8+. Samsung will use both Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 898 processors in the Tab S8 series depending on the market, just like the upcoming Galaxy S22 series.
Based on the latest rumors, Samsung will start mass production of its upcoming flagship Tab S8 series in January 2022 and the launch in the Spring that could be sometime in March, after the launch of the Galaxy S22 series which could be held in February.
Motorola edge X -
After the announcement of Snapdragon Tech Summit, the general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone business department in China has confirmed the new moto edge X flagship smartphone that will launch soon. He also added the tagline “infinitely powerful and full of expectations”, which could be powered by Snapdragon 898 SoC in the Moto Edge X smartphone. It might be introduced at the Snapdragon Tech Summit in the next few weeks.
