POCO X8 Pro Max launched in India starting at Rs. 42,999 with 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 9500s SoC, 9000mAh battery
POCO has also launched its latest flagship smartphone in the X8 series, the POCO X8 Pro Max in India, alongside the POCO X8 Pro. It sports a large 6.83-inch 1.5K display that incorporates the latest M10 material, enhancing luminous efficiency while delivering up to 3500 nits of peak brightness.
Performance-wise, it becomes the first smartphone in India to debut with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. Built on a flagship-grade 3nm process, the processor features an all-big-core architecture and an expanded cache for improved efficiency and power. The device also integrates a premium 3D Ice-Loop cooling system with a substantial 5800mm² vapor chamber for thermal management. It runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box and is promised to receive four major OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
On the design front, the POCO X8 Pro Max comes with a CNC-machined metal frame and a high-end fiberglass back panel. It adopts a metal racetrack-style camera deco and includes dynamic RGB LED lighting around the rear cameras. The phone is equipped with a flagship-grade ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the device features a 50MP high dynamic range main camera powered by the Light Fusion 600 sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP front-facing camera. In terms of battery capacity, the smartphone packs a massive 9000mAh battery. It supports 100W wired fast charging, is compatible with the 100W PPS charging standard, and also offers 27W wired reverse charging.
