POCO X8 5G and X8 Power 5G launching in India on September 4th with 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Up to 10,000mAh Battery
POCO is preparing to launch its latest samrtphone in the X8 series, the POCO X8 5G and POCO X8 Power 5G in India. Both smartphones are scheduled to debut on September 4 at 12:00 PM IST, with the launch being promoted through Flipkart.
The new X8 series smartphones are focused heavily on battery endurance, durability, and multimedia capabilities. While both models share similarities in their display and overall design, the X8 Power 5G takes things further with a larger 10,000mAh battery.
POCO X8 Power 5G: Key Highlights
10,000mAh Battery: The biggest highlight of the POCO X8 Power 5G is its massive 10,000mAh battery, which POCO claims can provide up to around 3.5 days of usage on a single charge.
Design: Promotional images show the smartphone with POCO’s signature dual-tone yellow finish, a clean rear panel, and a dual-camera setup housed within a squircle-shaped camera island.
Display: The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
Performance: The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and fast storage.
Cameras: The rear camera system is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle camera. A high-resolution front-facing camera will handle selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging: The POCO X8 5G packs a 9,000mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 3.2 days of typical usage. It supports 67W fast wired charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The phone also features Smart Charging, Bypass Charging, and PPS protocol support, while POCO claims a battery health lifespan of up to six years.
Display and Audio: The smartphone features a 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with slim, symmetrical bezels. It also comes equipped with dual stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos. The device additionally supports Dolby Vision for an enhanced viewing experience.
Build and Durability: POCO has emphasized durability with SGS-certified drop resistance and IP69K-rated protection against heavy-duty water and dust exposure. The phone also supports underwater camera functionality and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the display.
Design and Colors: The POCO X8 5G adopts a flat-edge frame with a dual-camera island on the rear. It is expected to be offered in Black, Frost White, and an Orange/Rust finish.
