POCO M8 5G series launching in India Soon, Design and Key Specifications Surface

POCO has begun teasing the launch of its next 5G smartphone, the POCO M8 5G in India. The teaser carries the tagline “Designed to Slay”, with POCO stating, “Power in your palm. Focus in every frame. POCO M8 5G doesn’t show up to compete; it shows up to finish.”

The teaser hints at a familiar rear design, showcasing a dual-tone finish similar to what we’ve seen on earlier POCO models, including the POCO X7.

Meanwhile, press renders of the POCO M8 5G surfaced last week, revealing three colour options and a dual rear camera setup. The smartphone is tipped to feature a 6.77-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC. For global markets, it is expected to launch with configurations of up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Additionally, the device is said to house a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support and carry an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance.

More details about the POCO M8 5G are expected to emerge in the coming days, ahead of its official debut in January 2026. The POCO M8 Pro 5G is expected to arrive later, possibly in February or March, and both will be available on Flipkart.
