POCO F9 Ultra and F9 Pro launched Globally with up to 6.9-inch 1.5K 185Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 2.1ch speakers, 200MP camera
POCO has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone in the POCO F9 Series, the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro for the global market, as previously announced. The new lineup sits at the top of POCO’s performance-focused smartphone portfolio, combining dual-chip processing, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, Bose-tuned audio, large silicon-carbon batteries, and advanced camera systems.
Performance and Gaming
Both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platforms and are paired with the dedicated VisionBoost D8 display co-processor. The POCO F9 Ultra is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of 4,165,108. The device is available with up to 1TB of internal storage.
The dual-chip architecture enables native frame rates of up to 185FPS in more than 20 supported games, while another five titles can take advantage of frame-rate interpolation.
POCO’s gaming software suite includes the WildBoost Engine, simultaneous frame generation with AI Super Resolution, and Game Color Enhancement. For improved responsiveness, the phones offer a 4,800Hz instant touch sampling rate, 480Hz multi-touch sampling rate, and 200Hz gyroscope sampling rate. Heat management is handled by POCO’s 3D IceLoop cooling system.
Display and Design
The POCO F9 Series features 185Hz HyperRGB AMOLED displays based on M11 luminescent materials, offering high refresh rates, vibrant colors, and improved power efficiency.
The POCO F9 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch 1.5K 12-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2510 × 1156 pixels. The panel can reach up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness under standard conditions and up to 10,000 nits during HDR playback. The rear panel also incorporates a programmable dynamic notification light.
The POCO F9 Pro comes with a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K 12-bit AMOLED display with a resolution of 2608 × 1200 pixels. The Aurora Green variant features a full-panel luminous rear surface that reacts to ambient light and ultraviolet exposure.
Both displays use a full RGB subpixel arrangement designed to improve visual clarity while optimizing power consumption. Eye-protection features include Xiaomi Vision Care and TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Eye Care certification.
Audio and Battery
The audio systems on both smartphones have been developed in collaboration with Bose.
The POCO F9 Ultra features a 2.1-channel audio configuration with dual symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers and a dedicated 1620 subwoofer. The POCO F9 Pro, meanwhile, uses dual symmetrical 1115F super-linear stereo speakers housed within a sealed cavity design.
Both models come with pre-tuned Dynamic and Balanced audio profiles, along with a low-latency Game Audio Mode designed to enhance spatial positioning and directional sound effects during gaming.
The POCO F9 Ultra packs an 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery, while the POCO F9 Pro features a 6,330mAh battery. Both smartphones support 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless charging, along with 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Camera Specifications
The POCO F9 Series introduces the company’s first 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilization. Both smartphones also feature a 32MP front-facing camera.
The POCO F9 Ultra combines the 200MP primary sensor with a 50MP 102° ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera. The periscope lens supports up to 10x lossless zoom and 20x AI-assisted digital zoom, while also supporting 30cm telemacro photography.
The POCO F9 Pro features the same 200MP primary camera, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP 2.5x telephoto camera. Its floating telephoto lens supports a minimum focusing distance of 10cm, allowing it to be used for telemacro photography.
Both smartphones support 8K video recording, while the Live Cinematography suite offers automated focus transition modes for video capture.
