OnePlus Pad 2 and OnePlus Watch 3 launch Delayed; OnePlus Pad 2 Appeared on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

Information regarding the OnePlus Pad 2, the successor to the initial OnePlus Pad, emerged a couple of months ago, suggesting that the tablet would debut in the latter half of 2024. However, according to Insider Digital Chat Station, the tablet's launch has been postponed, with no specific timeframe provided. The cause of the delay remains undisclosed.

Details about the OnePlus Pad 2 emerged a couple of months ago, revealing it would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Recently, the tablet identified by the model number OPD2404, appeared on Geekbench, confirming this chip.

The Geekbench listing also reveals that the tablet will have 8GB of RAM and run Android 14. Given that the OPPO Pad 2 had similar specifications to the original OnePlus Pad, it's likely that the OnePlus Pad 2 and the upcoming OPPO Pad 3 will also share similar specs.

The same source indicates that the OnePlus Watch 3 is also experiencing delays. Reliable OnePlus insider Max Jambor has corroborated this delay.

Previous reports indicated that the OnePlus tablet would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC found in its predecessor. Given that the OPPO Pad 2 shares similar specifications with the original OnePlus Pad, it's plausible that the OnePlus Pad 2 and OPPO Pad 3 might have comparable features.

Additionally, the leak suggests that the launch of the OPPO Pad 3 is also postponed. According to the latest information from Digital Chat Station, the tablet is expected to sport a 12.1-inch 3K LCD screen with a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, offering up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It is rumored to feature a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, support for the Pencil2 smart pen, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and a 9510mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support.

Further details are anticipated to be revealed in the upcoming months.
