OnePlus 16 Colors and Design Revealed with 180 FPS Gaming and 100W Charging Support
OnePlus has officially revealed three new color options for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 16, while also commencing pre-orders through major retail channels in China. Alongside the design reveal, recent industry reports have highlighted the phone’s expected gaming and processing capabilities.
Aesthetic Design and Finishes
The standout option in the newly revealed lineup is the “Tomorrow’s Starlight” finish, which has been developed with a focus on texture and the way ambient light interacts with the rear panel. According to OnePlus’ promotional material, the finish combines three key manufacturing techniques:
- Interstellar Light Effect: An optical treatment designed to produce directional light reflections across the rear surface.
- Nano-Grating Texture: A micro-etched grating positioned beneath the outer layer that changes the appearance of color highlights as the phone is viewed from different angles.
- Silk Glass Process: A matte-finished glass treatment designed to minimize fingerprints and smudges while providing a smooth feel in the hand.
The OnePlus 16 lineup also includes two additional finishes. One features a dark design with contrasting accents, while the other is a themed variant centered around deep reddish-terracotta tones.
Specifications and Gaming Capabilities
Alongside the official design announcement, preliminary technical details have emerged about the smartphone’s computing platform and gaming performance.
According to industry insider Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 16 is expected to introduce a proprietary “Windspeed gaming kernel”. The technology is reportedly being developed in collaboration with Qualcomm and is based on the upcoming SM8975 platform, set to debut at the Snapdragon Summit this week.

The OnePlus 16 has also recently received China’s 3C certification. The certification lists the model number PYB110 and confirms support for 100W wired charging.
While the reported frame-rate targets and synthetic performance claims point toward aggressive performance optimization, the phone’s actual thermal behavior, power consumption, and sustained performance will need to be evaluated through independent retail-unit testing.
