Nothing Teases codename Arcanine; Expected for Nothing Phone (3) / (3a) series

Last year, Nothing CEO Carl Pei announced that the flagship Nothing Phone (3) would debut in 2025 with AI-driven features. However, details so far have focused on the Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Plus, and CMF Phone (2).

Recently, Nothing began teasing a device codenamed Arcanine, a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. This aligns with earlier rumors, which revealed the model number A059 and the same codename. Speculation also suggests a Nothing Phone (3) Pro or Plus model with the Pokémon codename Hisuian Arcanine.

Interestingly, the Nothing Phone A059 appeared on benchmarks last year, featuring the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, reportedly destined for the Nothing Phone (3a) lineup.

A leaked email from Carl Pei, shared by @evleaks before being taken down, suggested that the Nothing Phone (3) would bring groundbreaking innovations in user interface design, marking a pivotal step toward the company’s AI-powered platform.

The internal memo further indicated plans for a “landmark” smartphone launch in Q1 2025. This suggests the Nothing Phone (3) could debut as early as February or March 2025. With the Nothing Phone (2a) launched in March 2024, could we see the Phone (3a) and (3a) Plus this March? Only time will tell.
