Nokia X gets 1 million pre-orders in China in just four days
Nokia X has rung up 1 Million pre-orders in China and whats more impressive its got to that number is just four days. Nokia's forked Android running X smartphone has very modest specifications with a 4-inch display, dual-core processor and a 3 MP fixed focus camera, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB expandable storage. But it really goes to show how much people wanted Nokia to make a Android smartphone.
Nokia X software platform is based on AOSP Jelly Bean OS but doesn't have any Google Services, all of them have been replaced with Nokia and Microsoft alternatives like Here Maps, Nokia Store, OneDrive among others. Stephen Elop suggested that the Nokia X series will be a gateway to the Lumia series, but it seems that Nokia's Android smartphones will thrive on their own, if Microsoft decides to keep the project alive.
The dual-SIM Nokia X was launched in India on March 10th for Rs. 8599 and is currently available atmajor offline and online retailers.
