Motorola acknowledges issues with Moto G Android KitKat update, will be releasing an OTA fix shortly

After numerous complaints regarding connectivity, SIM cards not being recognized, camera error Motorola has acknowledged the issues with the Moto G's Android KitKat update. We had contacted them to know if this was a known issue and if they were working on a fix.

Motorola's response on the issues with KitKat on the Moto G:

Sorry to say that these are known issues. We have already escalated this to the concern department, our technical department is working on this to release an OTA update to fix these bugs. It will resolve shortly.

We now have confirmation from Motorola that they are indeed working on a fix, and it will be resolved soon with an OTA update. It seems a very small fraction of the devices have been affected though, as even our review unit hasn't faced these issues. But its good to know that Motorola is working on the issue, we will keep you in the loop about the update.
