Motorola edge 70 Pro+ launching Soon in India with 144Hz curved AMOLED display, 50MP Sony LYTIA camera
Motorola India has officially started teasing the upcoming launch of its latest premium smartphone, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ in India soon. Marketed with the tagline “stunning inside out,” the device arrives as the successor to the edge 70 Pro that debuted last month.
Promotional teasers and Flipkart listings reveal several design highlights and notable camera improvements aimed at the premium mid-range smartphone segment.
A major focus of the edge 70 Pro+ is its premium design language and textured finishes. In partnership with Pantone, motorola will introduce the smartphone in three unique finishes:
- Satin-Luxe Finish (Pantone Zinfandel) featuring a deep maroon shade with a smooth matte texture
- Twill-Inspired Finish (Pantone Blue Surf) offering a woven fabric-like textured look in blue-green
- Sculpted Wood Finish (Pantone Wood Gold) with a brown wood-grain inspired design
The smartphone continues the quad-curved design approach seen on recent edge-series devices, offering a slim and ergonomic in-hand feel. It also features a square-shaped rear camera module that blends seamlessly with the back panel colour.
Camera Features and Hardware
The motorola edge 70 Pro+ is expected to focus heavily on camera upgrades, particularly in zoom and portrait photography.
Main Camera:
The device is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Motorola says its integrated Moto AI features help improve low-light photography, dynamic range, and motion clarity.
Telephoto and Portrait Enhancements:
Unlike the standard model, the edge 70 Pro+ is expected to include dedicated telephoto hardware with 3.5x optical zoom, up to 50x Super Zoom Pro, and an 85mm portrait focal length optimized for natural-looking portrait shots and depth-of-field effects.
The smartphone is also rumored to feature a 6.7-inch to 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to support TurboPower wired and wireless charging.
More details, including the processor and complete specifications, are expected to be revealed closer to its launch, which is anticipated in early June.
