Motorola Moto M with rear fingerprint sensor expected to launch on November 8

Motorola Moto M has been making the rounds on benchmark sites, certifications and an odd sighting here and there. Now we are hearing that the phone is launching on November 8 in China. The Moto M is expected to run on the Helio P10 SoC with 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p display.

There could be 32GB/64GB storage options available as well. The Moto M is expected to launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front camera. The fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back while the Moto dimple has been nearer to the bottom of the phone. The rear panel is non-removable and packs a 3000 mAh battery which should be capable of fast charging.

As we have already seen from leaked images, the Moto M does have the 16-pin connector at the back, so no MotoMods support here.

Lenovo P2 is also set to make an appearance at the launch event. We have already seen this device before, packing a 5.5-inch 1080p full-HD AMOLED display running on the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64 GB storage options. It would also run on Android Marshmallow at launch with the leaner Vibe UI skin on top.

You can also see a 13MP camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, 5MP front camera as well as a rear fingerprint sensor. All this would be powered by a 5100 mAh battery which supports fast charging. It is a 8.3 mm thin device weighing in at 177 grams. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and NFC.

There is no official word on pricing of either of these phones but we will get to know more next week at  launch.
