New live images of Moto G4 with front fingerprint sensor surface online

This year we have seen nothing from Moto yet but that all that could change quickly. Just about an hour ago live images of the Moto G4 leaked online which show a fingerprint sensor in the front and some weird sensors on the device. There has been talk of a Moto G4 Plus as well which is supposed to keep the same display size at 5.5-inches but with beefier specs including a 16MP rear camera.

From the leaked images its clear that the design language of the Moto family will remain similar and just a fingerprint sensor will be a major departure. The back seems to be made of a rubberized material and you can see a weird sensor at the top of the camera module, and also a weirdly placed pin-hole just next to the fingerprint sensor, which may be a notification LED though. There have been some more rumors which suggest that the Moto G4 will have a front facing flash.

Then there was talk of a full metal smartphone from Moto, but all we can say for sure, as was confirmed by Lenovo earlier, is that all Moto devices in 2016 will have a fingerprint sensor and display size larger than 5-inches.

Here are the rumored specs of both devices:

Moto G4

  • 5.5” inch Display
  • 16GB Memory
  • 13MP rear Camera
  • Rumored Price: 240 Euro (about Rs. 18000)

Moto G4 Plus

  • 5.5-inch display, 16GB Storage
  • 16MP camera
  • Rumored Price: 280 Euro (about Rs. 21000)

All the priced mentioned above are just indicative and in general phones by Moto are priced lower in India than in Europe. Both phones are expected to be launched by May.
